Every year, a barn swallow family raises two clutches atop one of our windows. I took this picture today. It looks like they are about to fledge! SO sweet! I love hearing them when Mom and Dad come to feed them. It really is a family affair with both parents helping.
I love barn swallows! I still miss seeing so many when we lived at the Childs Farm. I don't know if there are any here in Texas.

ReplyDeleteYes, they are sweet little birds. They migrate south in the wintertime and nest here in the spring. Both the mom and dad feed the babies. It is so fun to watch! Ask you mom about them. We used to have a lot of them at our old place, in the barn.
