The tops of the
onions dried nicely in the greenhouse, so today I gathered them up and sat in the shade in the back yard and braided them. They are so pretty! I wish I had a cooler place to store them. If they start to go bad, I will probably chop and freeze them using my Food Saver. When I grow up, I want to have a root cellar. Here are the yellow onions:

I use a piece of cotton twine in the braid so they won't break off the braid.
I am very grateful for the marvelous harvest we are having this year. I just wish the vegetables understood about one's overbooked schedule. Everything seems to come on at once! :)
