No, it is a vinyl floor! I like it very much. No Carpet. And yes, the view is way better than t.v. We have a television in our bedroom, but no t.v. subscription. Occasionally we sit down together and stream something off of Netflix, maybe once or twice a week. Some weeks not at all. :)
